Objectives:

  • Describe experimental strategies of tolerogenic vaccination for induction of FOXP3+ regulatory T cells.
  • Discuss properties by which cytokines IFN-β and GM-CSF can be used to drive regulatory T cell responses.
  • Explain mechanisms of ‘infectious’ tolerance regarding induction of polyclonal tolerance to the CNS.
