Jack Hedges
Research Assistant
About
Jack graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology. As an undergraduate, he worked in two research labs, one focused on clinical psychology and another on preclinical neuroscience. His clinical work explored how goal-directed learning circuits may be disrupted by emotional cues, while his neuroscience research examined the role of parvalbumin-positive interneurons in the orbitofrontal cortex in regulating behavioral flexibility. Jack joined the NCTU as a Clinical Research Coordinator in 2025 and is currently working on studies within the Neurocritical Care division. In his free time, he enjoys reading, discovering new music, traveling, hiking, and cooking vegan meals. His long-term goal is to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus on neuropsychology.
