UNC Department of Neurology is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Jojo Yang from Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology to Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology based on excellence in clinical activity, as well as commitment to providing outstanding patient care and strengthening programs within the Department of Neurology.
Dr. Yang completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from University of California, Los Angeles in 2009. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Yang earned a Doctor of Medicine from University of California, San Francisco in 2014. In 2016, she completed her residency in pediatrics from the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University. In 2019, she completed a Child Neurology residency in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University. Finally, she completed a Neurology fellowship program in Pediatric Epilepsy from the Department of Neurology at Stanford University. Beginning in August of 2020, she became a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at UNC. In August of 2024, she was also named a joint Professor in the department of Neurosurgery
