Dr. Cody Schwartz was thrilled to accept the offer as faculty in the division of Musculoskeletal Imaging after having completed his residency and subsequent MSK fellowship in Chapel Hill in 2018. He is indeed a Chapel Hill higher education lifer, having attended UNC for his undergraduate, medical, and public health graduate training. Current clinical and research interests include sports and tumor imaging, radiofrequency ablation, emergency radiology, and imaging quality improvement. He has a vested interest in education not only for the residents in radiology, but also for the medical students, undergraduates, and radiology fellows and currently serves as the associate Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology residency program. Primary educational interests include continuously refining the educational curriculum for the residency in addition to promoting early exposure to the field for medical students and undergraduates with the ultimate goal of training high level future radiology leaders.
