Dan Boughton, MBA, has nearly 20 years of experience in University leadership and oversight across a range of operational areas such as Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Analysis, Budget Forecasting, Grants Administration, Contract Negotiation & Management, and Clinical Operations & Management.

Mr. Boughton previously served as the Department’s Business Officer (2008-2017). He played a highly integral role in overseeing the administrative, budgeting, extramural funding and institutional systems implementations for UNC’s Departments of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering. Elsewhere within the UNC system, Mr. Boughton has held financial planning, financial analysis and accounting positions within UNC Physicians & Associates (2001-2008) and UNC Department of Medicine (1999-2001).
