Sheerah is responsible for the broad range of marketing and communications needs of the UNC Department of Radiology including the creation of content, graphic design, videography, and public relations. She is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining website content. She is also responsible for the comprehensive redesign of the site and the reorganization of the website map. In her role, she collaborates with the School of Medicine and Health Care Services marketing and communications departments on projects that overlap between the department in the university system and the medical team.

She works as the primary resource for the department’s annual report, social media presence, video creation/editing, and various publications and as a consultative collaborator in all of these specialized areas. Other key activities she supervises include creating, producing, and distributing a wide array of educational internal and external marketing materials; establishing and maintaining contact with persons in various media and public agencies; and advising in formulating policies and procedures about public relations implications. She works with physicians, researchers, scientists, and scholars to facilitate effective communication between one another and other departments about their work, research, and advancements in medicine within the UNC Health Care system and the larger NC Community.
