Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship
The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill offers a 1-year ACGME accredited fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology (currently 1 fellow/year). The program is administered at UNC Medical Center in the Women’s Hospital, with >4000 deliveries a year. We are a Level 4 Maternal Care Center with a level 4 NICU and have been designated a Center of Excellence by the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology (SOAP).
Core fellowship faculty consists of 6 obstetric anesthesiologists. The fellowship curriculum is designed to graduate consultants in obstetric anesthesiology, who may be successful in academic or private practice settings depending on the fellow’s professional goals.
