Selection Process

Applicants who apply to the UNC Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship must have an MD degree or equivalent and successfully completed an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency training program prior to the beginning of the fellowship year.  A complete list of required application material is listed below. The Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship Match is facilitated through the San Francisco Match (www.sfmatch.org).

Application Requirements:

  • Complete Standard OB Fellowship Application
  • An official copy of your medical school transcript should be sent directly to us from your medical school Dean’s office
  • 3 letters of reference (one must be from your anesthesiology residency training program director)
  • An updated curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Personal statement
  • A copy of all test scores (USMLE/COMPLEX)
  • A copy of all ITE scores
