Applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent and successfully completed an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency training program prior to the beginning of the fellowship year. A complete list of required application material is listed below. The Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship Match is facilitated through the San Francisco Match (www.sfmatch.org).

  • Complete Standard OB Fellowship Application
  • Official copy of  medical school transcript should be sent directly from your medical school Dean’s office
  • 3 letters of reference (one must be from your anesthesiology residency training program director)
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Personal statement
  • A copy of all test scores (USMLE/COMPLEX)
  • A copy of all ITE scores

2022-2023 OBA Fellow Dr. Courtney Hood teaches anesthesia clinical officers at KCH Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi, as part of UNC Anesthesia Global Outreach Initiative.
