We are honored to have Dr. Joshua Jauregui as the keynote speaker for the 2024 Academy of Educators Evening of Scholarship. Joshua Jauregui is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Assistant Dean of Clinical Curriculum at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is the current chair of the AAMC GEA National Grant and on the AAMC Learn Serve Lead Advisory Council. He is also an MHPE candidate at Maastricht University, with an anticipated graduation date in 2024. He is continually working towards helping create a more just and liberated learning climate for medical students toward the health benefit of all patients. His scholarship has focused on psychological safety in the clinical learning environment and equity across the spectrum of HPE. More recently, he is exploring the intersection of belonging and systems of assessment. In his free time, he currently enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team, running, and reading fiction.
