Aleksei Martianov, PhD, has been honored with the Staff Excellence Award in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UNC Chapel Hill in December 2025.
In addition to receiving this departmental distinction, Aleksei Martianov, PhD, a member of the Bergmeier Wolfgang lab, recently showcased his research on the national stage at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting. His work was selected for an oral presentation, highlighted in the prestigious “Best of ASH” program, and further recognized with the inaugural ASH Richard T. Silver, MD Abstract Achievement Award for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms — a significant achievement underscoring the impact of his scientific contributions.
