Rebecca Pollet, PhD (2016) is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan and serves as a faculty member in the Citizen Science Program at Bard College. She is also the co-author of a preprint related to graduate education, you can find the link here. The preprint highlights the motivation for the work she’s done to establish the Diversity Microbiology and Diversify Immunology online databases, which can be found here and additional information can be found here as well. Some of Rebecca’s major accomplishments since graduating from UNC were that she was awarded the University of Michigan Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellowship Award and that she was named a finalist for the Life Science Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship.
