The BCBP department student seminar is a student-created initiative to help students across the department learn more about the research their peers are conducting, while offering everyone the chance to refine their presentation skills amongst peers.

This year’s seminar has been revamped by graduate students Odessa Goudy, Rodney Park, and Amelia McCue to help increase awareness of each other and each other’s work – especially during the pandemic.

Presenters are strongly encouraged to include one slide about themselves outside of research – which could include anything about them (personal) or a topic they care about (awareness). Lastly, to support each other academically and also recognize and award the effort it takes to create great presentations, presenters are eligible for presentation awards for a variety of categories as nominated by their peers.
