Congratulations to graduate students Uriel Jean-Baptiste of Saskia Neher lab and Darex Vera Rodriguez of Andrew Lee lab who successfully passed their qualifying oral exams!
The Neher lab primarily studies proteins involved in lipid metabolism and redox chemistry. We use structural biology, analytical biochemistry, and microscopy to answer questions about enzyme function, inhibition, and trafficking.
The Andrew Lee lab studies the role of conformational dynamics in protein function, conformational changes, enzyme catalysis, drug binding, and allostery. We use a variety of biophysical and biochemical tools, especially NMR spectroscopy.
