Meet Carter Ballard
Carter is Dr. Miller’s medical assistant at the UNC Facial Nerve Center. A North Carolina native, she graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Exercise & Sport Science. She has a background in laboratory medicine and Dermatology where she previously worked as a medical assistant.
Having had facial paralysis herself, Carter understands the challenges patients go through as they are dealing with their facial asymmetry and decreased facial function. She loves being part of a team that offers cutting edge treatments to facial paralysis patients in the southeast. She is committed to providing compassionate care alongside Dr. Miller. You will meet Carter at your visit to the UNC Facial Nerve Center and she will remain in close communication with you as we work with you to improve you facial symmetry and function.
In her free time, Carter enjoys running, swimming, spending time with her dogs, and trying new restaurants in the region.
