UNC Neurology is proud to announce that Chelsea Simmons, Advanced Practice Provider (APP), has been selected to serve as Co-Chair of the NEALS APP Committee. This appointment recognizes Chelsea’s dedication to advancing ALS care and research.
NEALS (Network for Excellence in ALS) is the leading research collaboration focused on exploring new therapies for motor neuron disease. The APP Committee within NEALS is committed to fostering an environment of learning and growth for APPs serving as clinicians and investigators at the forefront of ALS care and research. The committee also plays a vital role in evaluating and developing guidelines to improve the care of people living with ALS (pALS).
Chelsea’s leadership will help shape best practices and strengthen collaboration among APPs nationwide, ensuring continued progress in patient care and clinical research.
