The NCTU supports over 60 active industry, NIH, and investigator-initiated studies at any given time. The Center’s previous Director, Dr. Susan Wilson retired from UNC in January 2024 after a long and lauded career as a nurse, researcher, director, and professor.  Anne Beckwith served as Interim Director for the NCTU. Anne has guided the team through transition with superb leadership and responsibility.  In addition to Anne’s interim leadership, Candace Henderson stepped up and took on many of the Assistant Director roles. They both managed more than one role while taking on the biggest project for the NCTU in many years, the transitioning all of the NCTU’s studies to the OnCore platform. Department leadership extends our deepest appreciation to Anne and Candace for their service as Interim Director and Interim Assistant Director for the last eight months.
