Grand Rounds: Dr. Ross Boyce, MD, MSc

UNC Neurology is pleased to host Dr. Rose Boyce MD, MSc as grand rounds speaker on October 30, 2025.
Topic: Tic-Bourne Disease in NC: The Known and Unknown Unknowns
Dr. Boyce is an Associate Professor of Medicine at UNC School of Medicine, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, and a Faculty Fellow for the Carolina Population Center. His areas of interest include vector-borne diseases, tick-borne diseases, malaria, and spatial Epidemiology.
Dr. Boyce’s research focuses on the spatial and clinical epidemiology of malaria and other vector-borne diseases, particularly in rural, underserved communities. Current projects include (i) a NIH career development award (K23AI141764) that aims to develop more efficient methods of locating and targeting Anopheles mosquito breeding sites and (ii) a randomized controlled trial of insecticide-treated baby carriers, known as “lesus” in Uganda, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
