We are delighted to announce that Dr. Thiri Lin, Neurology PGY-3, has been selected for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Resident Research Scholarship Award—a highly competitive resident research honor. Each year, only five residents nationwide are chosen from dozens of applications.

This award will support the final phase of the project “From Guidelines to Bedside: Scaling a Status Epilepticus Management Bundle Across North Carolina (G2B-SE Bundle).” Dr. Lin has been working on this initiative under the mentorship of Dr. Clio Rubinos, who served as the faculty mentor on the grant submission. Together, they have been developing this hybrid implementation-science–driven project over the past two years with the goal of improving status epilepticus care across diverse healthcare settings in North Carolina. The work was also recently recognized with the UNC Health Community Health Impact Award, underscoring its innovation and statewide relevance.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Thiri Lin on this outstanding and well-deserved honor.
