We are proud to announce that the University of North Carolina ALS Clinic has officially been designated as an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence!
This recognition reflects the clinic’s commitment to providing outstanding, compassionate, and multidisciplinary care to individuals living with ALS and their families. The designation was unanimously approved by the ALS Association’s center certification sub-team, affirming the clinic’s excellence in clinical care, research, and collaboration.
To achieve this designation, the UNC ALS Clinic demonstrated:
- A strong partnership with the ALS Association
- A multidisciplinary team trained to meet the complex needs of ALS patients
- Leadership by neurologists and ALS specialists with deep expertise
- Ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Active involvement in IRB-approved ALS-specific research
