The Department would like to congratulate Assistant Professor of Radiology Dr. Troy Maetani for being chosen to receive the 2017 Charles A. Bream Award for excellence in teaching. Recognized annually at the Department’s end-of-year banquet, the Bream Award recipient is selected by the graduating Diagnostic Radiology residents.
Maetani said: “I was very humbled to receive the Charles Bream Award. To even be considered is such an honor, and I indeed stand on the shoulders of giants of great teachers and mentors in the Department of Radiology, especially the strong [Musculoskeletal Imaging] division of Drs. Nissman, Renner and Clarke. It truly has been working with them and the bright residents and fellows here at UNC that makes each day so rewarding.”
