In February 2018, Department faculty and residents hosted over 50 UNC School of Medicine (SOM) Radiology Interest Group student members at an Emergency Radiology SIM Lab. UNC Radiology faculty and residents mentored students passing through the SOM’s Translational Education at Carolina (TEC) curriculum Foundations phase on ER-related unknown cases and radiology as a discipline.

In March 2018, the Department facilitated UNC SOM’s Capstone Radiology Boot Camp. All nine UNC medical students who matched to radiology residencies participated!
