Claire Chang undergraduate researcher in Guochun Jiang lab receives SURF award
The title of her project is “Targeting HIV Transcriptional Machinery as a Functional Cure for Latent HIV” Claire plans to conduct her research in Fall 2020.
Under normal circumstances, SURFs would be conducted during the summer. This year, since summer school went to remote teaching for the summer, the decision was made to only allow SURFs that could be done remotely to occur this summer. The UNC Office of Undergraduate Research did allow students to opt to conduct their SURF work during the 2020-2021 academic year or even post-pone to next summer. Claire has opted in to conducting her research in the Fall of 2020.
