Julia DiFiore, under the direction of Dr. Brian Strahl, successfully defended her dissertation on March 13, 2020 and received her PhD!
The title of her dissertation is “Examining the Biological Functions of the H3K36 Methylation States in Transcription Regulation and the Post-Translational Modification Landscape of Set2.”
While at UNC, Julia was also active in outreach and service through volunteering with DNA Day, mentoring undergraduates in the lab, and writing for The Pipettepen.
After graduation, Julia will start as a Medical Writing Fellow at Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. in Durham, NC.
