COVID-19 Guidance

We look forward to the holiday season this year and hope that everyone is able to find a time for peace, rest and relaxation. Please review the details below based on recommendations from our Infection Prevention experts for any workplace gatherings and note that event organizers are expected to review and follow these guidelines:

·         Videoconferencing and teleconferencing are the safest methods for gatherings. When an in-person meeting is held, it should be done with adequate space for attendees with masking for all participants, regardless of vaccination status. At in-person meetings, you should avoid serving food or drinks that would be eaten in close proximity (< six feet) of others.

·         If providing food or drinks to teammates, provide items that can either be transported to separate locations where distancing can be maintained or ensure that the meeting location has enough space to promote distancing while individuals are eating and drinking without a mask.

·         Provide hand hygiene options in the room when multiple participants will be gathering.

·         Provide disinfecting wipes to disinfect all surfaces upon entry and exit from the room.

·         If the gathering requires a hands-on activity in which healthcare personnel is within six feet of one another, limit the time in close proximity, enforce Universal Pandemic Precautions (wearing a mask + eye protection), perform hand hygiene and disinfect surfaces before and after the activity.

Thank you for your patience and support in following these guidelines. We hope to return to more normal gatherings soon but we will follow the data and share updated information and guidelines as the situation continues to evolve.

Best,
