“I graduated with a B.S. in Systems Biology from Virginia Tech just this spring! I’m joining the Kuhlman Lab as a postbac research assistant for one year under an NSF-funded Rosetta Commons program and will be working with Nick Randolph on protein sequence design and structure prediction.
I hope to work for a few more years before enrolling in a PhD program, but when I do, I think it will be focused on deep learning in bioinformatics/computational biology.
In my free time, I like to read (I am currently reading Moby Dick), be active, explore the area I’m in, and sometimes bake!
