Clark, Pediatric Cochlear Implant Review

Clark is a research participant in a study investigating the impact of early cochlear implantation in children with single-sided deafness.

Below is his story in his mother’s own words:

Hi! Meet my son, Clark. He is 3 years old and was born with a unilateral hearing loss. When we were invited to have Clark participate in a clinical research study, our answer was an immediate “yes”. We chose clinical research because of its potential to improve outcomes – not only for Clark, but for other children with hearing loss and the families who walk this path. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to research that may positively impact learning and development for years to come.
