Dr. Hamilton is a board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at UNC Health. Her clinical interests include caring for kids with brain tumors, utilizing endoscopic surgical techniques in the management of hydrocephalus, and building a peripheral nerve and brachial plexus program at UNC. Her research interests include pediatric neuro-oncology, physician mentorship, and wellness.
Dr. Hamilton grew up in Indianapolis, IN, and attended medical school at IU School of Medicine. She completed her neurosurgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She practiced in West Virginia for four years prior to joining the UNC team.
When she is not at the hospital, Dr. Hamilton enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, knitting, and being with her husband and daughter.
