Assistant Professor

Dr. Kimberly Hamilton is a board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at UNC Health. Her research interests include program building and mentorship, and pediatric oncology research.

Dr. Hamilton grew up in Indianapolis, IN, and attended Indiana University School of Medicine. She then completed her neurosurgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI. After residency, she completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

When she is not in the hospital, Dr. Hamilton enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, knitting, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
