The Department would like to congratulate Tonya Edge, RT(R), CIIP, for obtaining Imaging Informatics Professional (IIP) certification, as administered by the American Board of Imaging Informatics. Becoming a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) requires an in-depth combination of education, experience, and examination standards in a wide spectrum of technical and professional components encompassing the practice of Imaging Informatics.
Department Informatics Manager Jay Crawford, DHA, MHA, BSBME, noted: “This certification adds depth to the knowledge and skill set Tonya brought to the [Outreach/Imaging Informatics] division on Day 1. As a testament to obtaining this certification, she has been invited to serve a three-year term as a member of the Society for Imaging Informatics National Education Committee. Society membership extends to Tonya excellent professional growth opportunities similar to the ones that have advanced my work in imaging informatics over the years.”
