UNC Radiology residents organized a December toy drive to benefit Durham Rescue Mission that proved a huge success! Organizing residents Drs. Jordan Fenner (R2) and Jacob Nelson (R2) thanked Department members for donating an overflow of toys to brighten the holidays for many local children in need.
“We want to start by saying thank you for participating in the toy drive for Durham Rescue Mission. This is a great example of what we can accomplish when we all come together. We had a hard time being able to pack all of your donations into two separate vehicles. A 6-foot-tall blue bin was overflowing with toys for those in need to enjoy this holiday season.
Again, we just wanted to say thank you to everyone for participating! It’s amazing to see how dedicated our department is not only to providing care for the patients in our hospital, but that we are also dedicated to our community as a whole.”
