Wi-Fi Connection: UNC-Secure
UNC Secure is accessible to UNC employees with active onyen ids.

- Windows laptop
- Prerequisite: laptop must have current anti-virus software installed – it will not connect otherwise
- Establish a wi-fi connection to UNC-Setup
- Your browser may automatically open to to the UNC Secure web site. If not, open your browser and go to https://uncsecure.unc.edu
- Select the green Start button on the bottom right
- Follow instructions to configure
- If you have difficulty, refer to the ITS UNC-Secure site
- MacBook

- Select the green Start button on the bottom right

- Apple mobile devices: iPhone, iPad, or iTouch
- Settings -> Wi-Fi
- Ensure Wi-Fi is On
- Connect to UNC-Setup or use your cellular connection to access https://uncsecure.unc.edu
- Select the green Start button on the bottom right
- Enter your onyen
- Select Continue
- At the Install Profile page, select Install
- If you get an Unsigned Profile prompt, select Install Now
- If your device is password-protected, you’ll get a prompt to Enter Passcode
- At the Enter Password page, enter your onyen password
- At the Profile Installed page, select Done
- Return to Settings –> Wi-Fi
- Select UNC-Secure and you should be connected

- Android Devices
- Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings
- Click on UNC-Secure.
- For EAP method, select “TTLS”.
- For Phase 2 authentication, select “PAP”.
- For CA certificate, leave as “unspecified”.
- For User certificate, leave as “unspecified”.
- For Identity, enter your ONYEN.
- If you see Anonymous identity, leave blank.
- For Password, enter your ONYEN password.
- Click connect.
