Graduate Student Odessa Goudy speaks at Winter RosettaCON 2020

Aziz Sancar named recipient of 2019 Hyman L. Battle Distinguished Cancer Research Award
Aziz Sancar, MD, PhD, the Sarah Graham Kenan Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and member of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been named the 2019 recipient of the Hyman L. Battle Distinguished Cancer Research Award.

UNC School of Medicine Celebrates 2019-20 Yang Family Biomedical Scholars

UNC researchers develop new technology to identify inflammation – Dr. Leslie Parise (Charlotte Post)
Inflammation is a hallmark of many health conditions, but quantifying how the underlying biology of inflammation contributes to specific diseases has been difficult. For the first time, UNC researchers and colleagues now report the development of a new technology to identify white blood cells called neutrophils that are primed to eject inflammatory DNA into the circulation via a process called NETosis.
