Congratulations to lab manager Jeffrey Jones of the Cook, Kuhlman, and Strahl labs as the 2014 honoree.The Department's Staff Recognition Program was established to annually recognize a staff member for their outstanding achievement and service. Nominations are made with the following criteria in mind: teamwork, creativity and innovation, positive attitude, enthusiasm, productivity, flexibility and leadership.

The Department continues to rank highly for NIH funding among all Biochemistry departments in the US. In 2014, the Department secured 16.4 million in federal funding and ranks 5th.
