The DEI and BCBP Social committee organized a departmental-wide celebration and potluck for the Lunar New Year on January 27, 2023. There were delicious dumplings and rice noodles from Sister Liu’s dumplings and sides and desserts from members, such as fried spring rolls, fruit, cucumber salad, Japchae, lotus root dishes, fried rice, mochi, and much more.
Earlier in the week the DEI committee shared an email with the invitation which included a light read on the lore of the Chinese zodiac calendar.
There were red envelopes shared to give members the opportunity to write out notes to others to wish for good fortune and dedicate them to their family, friends, and community.
