Update from Cassandra Hayne PhD (2017), “This is week four being back in lab since March. Our lab was only open for essential research, including a SARS-COV-2 project the lab initiated. This morning, our SARS-COV-2 paper went live on BioRxiv! Congratulations to all the authors and collaborators for their hard work.

Our other paper was designated as a “Breakthrough Article” by Nucleic Acids Research (NAR) which is an honor given to the top 1-2% of all papers. Nucleic Acid Research journal: “Reconstitution of the human tRNA splicing endonuclease complex: insight into the regulation of pre-tRNA cleavage.” We collaborated with Dr. Gregory Matera’s Lab at UNC.”

Dr. Hayne is a 2017 BCBP alumna and former member of the Neher lab.
