State Service Awards
The UNC Chapel Hill Human Resources acknowledged the total state service for the following members of the department of Biochemistry and Biophysics for the second half of 2018.
25 year state service award

The University recognizes and expresses appreciation for the long-term service of faculty and staff, both full-time and part-time (regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours each week).
Eligibility for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service awards is determined by an employee’s Total State Service according to the University’s fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.
Eligibility for 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50+ years of service awards is determined by an employee’s Total State Service according to the calendar year, January 1 through December 31.
The program currently recognizes employee service at five-year intervals.
UNC Human Resources compiled a report in June for the Twenty-Five, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50+ Years of Service to include eligible employees according to the calendar year. Each employee, after receiving eligibility verification, the Office of Human Resources printed certificates and informed HR officers in October. Honorees were honored at the UNC State Service Recognition Breakfast in October 2018.
