Holly Shepherd, Student Services Manager, was awarded a School of Medicine pilot grant that covered her expenses at the National Association for College Admission Counseling conference.

The conference features sessions on multiple student development and student services areas and provides continuing education credit through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), which provided Holly with her NCC credentials.
This NBCC conference provided updates on best practices in student programming and student services as well as connections to experts in the student development field.

Both, And – a model for counselor and teacher postsecondary advising for all
Building statewide collaborations for post-secondary success

Partnering with honors programs on inclusive enrollment management practices
Recruiting diverse leaders to lead the charge and spark the change, and many others.


The pilot grant covers expenses incurred in the Spring of 2022 related to education and training, including opportunities like credit and non-credit courses, certificate programs, conferences, or similar opportunities.
