Connor Schneps, PhD has joined the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics as a postdoctoral researcher in the Campbell Lab on May 11, 2026.

Connor completed his PhD at Cornell University in Brian Crane’s lab, where his research focused on biophysical chemistry. His doctoral work examined light‑induced conformational dynamics of the Drosophila melanogaster circadian photoreceptor cryptochrome and how these molecular changes influence regulation of the circadian rhythm. He also completed a one‑year postdoctoral appointment at the Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute in Ellis Reinherz’s lab, studying the structure of αβ T cell receptors.
Connor is passionate about structural biology and physical biochemistry, and he is particularly interested in applying these approaches to drug discovery efforts aimed at treating malignancies, including cancer.
Outside the lab, Connor enjoys weightlifting, music, hiking, and video games.
