About Rohan
Rohan Shah is from Columbia, MD, and spent his whole life there before moving to Chapel Hill for his PhD last fall. He chose to pursue PhD research because he values the freedom academia provides to follow his interests and structure his research around what matters most to him. This is also why he picked the Biophysics department at UNC; after rotating in several departments through the BBSP, he felt that the PIs in biophysics were the most flexible in both the research questions they asked and the lab techniques they used.
Interests
In his free time, Rohan enjoys rock climbing both indoors and outdoors. He spends a lot of time at TRC and looks forward to exploring outdoor crags across North Carolina. Rohan does not have any pets yet, but he is considering getting a few cats while he is at UNC and hopes to take them on adventures.
