Congratulations to Dr. Wentao Li on his new Assistant Professor position with the Department of Environmental Health Science at University of Georgia.

Dr. Li has accepted a new tenure-track Assistant Professor position with the Department of Environmental Health Science at University of Georgia. He will set up his new research lab in September 2020. Wentao is a former postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Dr. Aziz Sancar, Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Dr. Li has garnered many honors and awards since his time at UNC and most notably as a recipient of a K99 Pathway to Independence Award which will assist in fostering his career development.

Dr. Li’s research will focus on the role of DNA damage and repair in mutagenesis and carcinogenesis caused by environmental carcinogens. For more information go to: https://publichealth.uga.edu/faculty-member/wentao-li.
