Congratulations Zibo Li, PhD, Professor Radiology and Director of Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Research program at the BRIC. Professor Li was awarded an estimated $2.5 Million grant award from the National Cancer Institute for his research titled, “Development of an Efficient 18F labeling technology based on tetrazine trans-cyclooctene ligation.” We are extremely proud of Professor Li and excited for him to pursue this research.
Grant #: 1R01CA287184-01
Project Period: 12/05/2023-11/30/2027
Estimated Award Amount: $2,500,428
Project Goals: In this collaborative project, we will develop efficient methods for the construction of 18F labeled agents using the tetrazine-trans-cyclooctene ligation. We will develop new 18F labeled trans-cyclooctenes and tetrazines as reporters for large molecule distribution in the CNS. The success of this approach will lead to a comprehensive platform for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) agent preparation and drug distribution mapping.
