faculty talking to each otherMentoring is a deeply personal process of providing support and encouragement while embarking wisdom onto others. Forcing this process devalues the experience for both the mentor and the mentee. We would like to provide a rich and enjoyable experience for each resident by selecting faculty members that are truly invested in the mentoring experience. Our goal is that mentors will be paired with residents that closely align to their field with similar interests. As a mentor in the Residents as Teachers program, you will meet with the resident several times throughout the year and discuss various goals and assist in the planning for innovative teaching, and if possible, attend and evaluate the resident’s teaching experience.
