UNC Biology Undergraduate Honors Committee announcement
Undergrad researcher McGuire Metts in Strahl lab receives Brantley Award! Maguire was mentored by Abid Khan in the Strahl lab.
The Brantley Award is given out to senior Biology majors for excellence in research in molecular, cell and developmental Biology.
McGuire Metts, an undergrad researcher in Brian Strahl’s lab presented his project entitled, “Histone modifier SETD2 regulates nuclear lamina integrity during mitosis”
He will receive his award at the UNC Biology Graduation ceremony.

Two other researchers, Amber Amparo, and Sarah Torzone, also were awarded Brantley awards.
