PGY 6 neurosurgery resident Kelly Chamberlin, MD, MSCR was selected for induction into UNC’s chapter of Alpha Omega AlphaDr. Kelly Chamberlain, neurosurgery resident at UNC Health (AΩA) National Medical Honor Society.

Membership in AΩA may be attained as a medical student, resident, fellow, faculty member, alumni, clinician, or distinguished leader in medicine. Dr. Chamberlain was nominated by a former UNC School of Medicine medical student. “I am extremely honored to be inducted into the UNC Chapter of AOA,” said Dr. Chamberlin. “Medical student education is something I am passionate about and I plan to continue to be involved in medical education throughout my neurosurgical career.”

Dr. Chamberlin is pursuing pediatric neurosurgery. Her research focuses on pediatric tethered cord syndrome, minimally invasive surgery, and surgical outcomes. She is particularly interested in optimizing surgical outcomes by careful patient selection. Last year, Dr. Chamberlain completed a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
