Academic Integrity and Policy on Use of AI

Pharmacology will permit the use of AI and free and professional editing services in the thesis document, but only for the purpose of improving existing writing and not generating text or references. The use of AI or any editing service must be acknowledged in the relevant chapters.

Students are responsible for all content and its ramifications. Academic integrity is a core value of the Pharmacological Sciences Training Program. Instances of suspected plagiarism, cheating, listing of illegitimate references, or other violations of the Honor Code will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct, the Office of the Dean of Students and/or the Institutional Research Integrity Officer.

Thesis advisors may elect to adopt a stricter policy for their own students.
