The University will operate the Carolina Student Vaccine Clinic starting Wednesday, March 31. NC DHHS has said all of Groups 1,2, 3 and 4 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine on March 31. As we think about safety and support, let us all make sure individuals who identify as Asian or Asian American know we are one Carolina family, and we are here for them.

Group 4 Eligibility: We are pleased that additional members of our community are eligible for the vaccine this week. Governor Cooper announced that beginning March 17, people in Group 4 who have a medical condition that puts them at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19 are eligible for vaccinations. On April 7, the rest of Group 4 will become eligible, including all UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, staff and student employees who are not in Groups 1, 2 or 3.

Sign up for a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it’s available to you. All of Group 4, which includes our faculty, staff, student employees, as well as students living in on-campus and Greek housing, will be eligible on April 7.

Welcome to Carolina! The UNC Visitors Center is excited to offer its new Sense of Place Zoom tour. This 45-minute tour is presented via Zoom and offers a live host welcoming guests to campus, a recorded video of our popular Sense of Place tour that introduces campus history and traditions as well as some of the University’s current endeavors in research and innovation. Thanh Phan is an international student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College. Currently, under the guidance of Dr. Brian Kuhlman, she is working on developing vaccine antigens against dengue viruses.
