Jean Marie Mwiza, grad student jointly supervised by Drs. Alisa Wolberg and Wolfgang Bergmeier, recently spear-headed an international team of investigators including Robert Lee, David Paul, Lori Holle, Brian Cooley, Wyatt Schug, Tomohiro Kawano, and Nigel Mackman for a first systematic study on the molecular mechanisms by which platelets contribute to VT.

The Carolina Postdoctoral Program for Faculty Diversity prepares scholars from different backgrounds for faculty careers.

The UNC-CH Biochemistry and Biophysics department moves to establish a Postdoc Working Group with thanks to Kathryn Gunn and Wolfgang Bergmeier. Postdocs and research associates are encouraged to get involved. Meetings are planned quarterly. An inaugural meeting with lunch is planned for March 16th. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP.
