Our 2022 retreat was held at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham on October 21 which included departmental talks, posters, a Carer and DEI panel, and other fun activities which made for an engaging and exciting day at the museum. Our Keynote speaker was Dr. Mary Munson.

The first inaugural UNC Biophysics Field Day, an afternoon of friendly competition to foster community among the Molecular and Cellular Biophysics students & faculty, was a huge success! Biophysics cohorts & faculty faced off in several rounds of science-themed challenges. Carolyn Clabo was awarded a $3,195 School of Medicine Staff Development pilot Grant that covers professional education and training and can be used for credit and non-credit courses, conferences, certificate programs or similar instructional opportunities.
