The Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a self-assessment of skills, career plans, and objectives for graduate training, completed by the PHCO student and then discussed in a one-on-one meeting with their PI, each year. Along with Dissertation Committee meetings, IDPs are tools that can help students and their advisors evaluate and appreciate progress, align expectations, and identify opportunities that will help prepare trainees for their post-graduate careers. Examples IDPs are below; we encourage our trainees to select the IDP that best fits their needs and preferences
