Asia Mieczkowska has been selected to serve as program manager in the Center for Molecular Medicine. Her first day in the position was Aug. 11.
Asia most recently served as director of strategic operations at UNC Renaissance Computing Institute, where she led the strategic operations division. Prior to that role, she served as a research specialist and lab manager in the UNC Department of Biology.
As program manager, Asia will serve as a pivotal member of the Center for Molecular Medicine’s team, working closely with the director and other center leaders to oversee high-level operations and shape the center’s strategic vision in its research, education and service missions. She will also be responsible for all administrative operations, including the center’s Viral Vector Core.
